If you’re a little Halloween costume-d out, you might like to take this weekend to regroup and wear the easiest outfit possible. That doesn’t mean you need to resort to sweats and a ratty tee, though. We put together three perfect outfits in the simplest color palette possible that will take you from a hot date to a crisp Monday morning.
Saturday night: “What?!” you say, outraged. “A suit for a sexy night out with my boo?” Well, hear us out. This isn’t just any old suit. The pants are leather. The shirt is sheer. The heels are high. And the lip gloss is pink. You can’t do much better than that, and you’ll look damn classy doing it. In fact, your guy might just upgrade your plans from dinner to at the neighborhood place to Chez Swanky. Best part? All the pieces would mix equally well with other items in your wardrobe for a more low-key look later.
Want the look for less? (We knew we’d sell you on it!) This Zara gold button blazer is under a C-note; these MNG by Mango faux leather pants look surprisingly comfy and flattering for just $40; and may we direct you to these killer studded heels, now on sale at Macy’s, in our sales roundup today?
Sunday brunch: You can recycle those leather pants for this cute and casual look seen on Hailee Steinfeld, or you could sub in your favorite skinnies for both — that’s the magic of classic black-and-white attire. We love the preppy spin her button-up gives to her otherwise wild leopard-print sweater and tight pants, plus her chunky boots ground the whole thing. We guarantee at least “Oh my god, you look so cute”s from your friends.
Keep last night’s leather pants in rotation, then add a cute leopard topper (this Forever 21 sweater is $22.80) and your favorite Oxford and boots. Plait your hair to one side and maybe add sunglasses depending on the night before.

Monday morning: Professional and pretty can co-exist on the same plane, we promise. Minka Kelly’s skirt-and-top look (both Michael Kors) is modest, feminine and put-together — the metallic pumps are a fun touch, but to make this look even more conservative you could add a cardigan and black pumps. Fun details like a slightly asymmetrical hem and waist-cinching belt keep the two-tone styling from being overly simple.
If you’re looking to copy the outfit from head-to-toe, may we suggest this Karen Kane black-and-white lace top (25% off this weekend with “FRIFAM13OCT”), plus a fun black pencil skirt and $44 silver Asos heels round out the equation.
