Watch Rihanna Debut Her Fenty x Puma Collaboration During NYFW with Gigi Hadid, Stella Maxwell and Bella Hadid as Models

Updated

First
Anti
, now New York Fashion Week.
Rihanna
is dominating both music and fashion!

The 27-year-old debuted her Fenty x Puma collaboration at 23 Wall Street on Friday, her first major clothing collection since becoming the brand’s newest creative director in December 2014.

Just as how
Kanye West
livestreamed his Yeezy Season 3 show on Tidal, Rihanna made her show available for the public using Periscope and Facebook.

Stella Maxwell
, Taylor Hill, Maria Borges as well as sisters Bella and Gigi Hadid, who closed the show, walked in monochromatic designs featuring sexy silhouettes.

All the female models underwent RiRi’s bad gal makeover with white painted hair and matte black lip.

Rihanna’s celebrity friends including Jeremy Scott, Anna Wintour
Naomi Campbell
and
Chris Rock
watched from the front row as the veteran supermodel praised the designer tweeting, “@rihanna you killed it !!! Congratulations #proudsister.”

RiRi’s other famous friends also couldn’t help but fawn over the star during her show.

“She’s got awesome style,” Pete Wentz, wearing All Saints and his girlfriend’s sweatshirt, told PEOPLE. “She’s got her own style.

Rihanna’s longtime friend, Melissa Forde, wearing FENTY PUMA by Rihanna, had her own take. “We both grew up in Barbados. I met her when she was 14. And I just like that her clothes make you feel comfortable and sexy at the same time. Most of the time when you’re trying to look sexy, it’s usually uncomfortable.”

“She’s my best friend, and I’m very proud of her,” Forde added. “Nobody dresses this cool in Barbados. Not yet, but they’re about to ([aughs]. She’s the queen of Barbados, our rock.”

“Rihanna’s style is almost unfair,” insisted Ne-Yo. “She can do things with clothes that other people can’t do. Rihanna’s style epitomizes who she is. Entirely unapologetic. It says ‘This is who I am. This is what I want I’m going to wear what I want.’ And it says, ‘Not only am I going to wear what I want and do what I want, but you’re going to love me for it. “That’s what her style says to me And Puma is a classic in and of itself, and with this twist Rihanna is putting on it, I see dollar signs. And I couldn’t be happier for her.”

“Rihanna defines style,” noted Bang Bang, a tattoo artist who recently penned 1988, her birth year, on her ankle. He claims to have inked 12 tattoos on her body. “And she’s such a great friend,” he said. “She takes really great care of people. I’ve definitely made her cry, but she’s tough.”

While the womenswear was all fierce, Fenty x Puma featured menswear as well! And at the very end, Rihanna proudly greeted the audience strutting out in an oversized sweatshirt and stiletto ankle boots.

Ahead of the show, Rihanna told reporters that Puma had given her “a lot of creative leeway,” and added, “I was excited to take on the challenge. I feel like we were a match made in heaven.”

As for this collection, she described it “a little street, a little Japanese street culture mixed with this haunting undertone.”

She also said that the Fenty woman is someone who “enjoys who they are.”

“[I love women] who are confident, not afraid to be that,” she continued. “And even when they’re shy, they are just shy. They accept that. I love women who embrace who they are in personality, and we’re all different. We’re all here for a reason. I love to meet new people. A Fenty girl? There is no one girl. Any girl could feel like a Fenty girl as long as she enjoys who she is.”

Next stop for the Barbadian beauty: the Grammy Awards. Hopefully she’ll have another jaw dropping fashion moment like last year’s two-tiered Giambattista Valli pink gown!
