Two Bold Star Hair Changes We Have to Talk About (Including Evan Rachel Wood's Dip-Dyed Tips)

Evan Rachel Wood is definitely a hair chameleon (she’s been long, really short, fire-engine red … the list goes on), but the star’s latest look is probably her riskiest mane move yet. She dyed her hair blonde — and black!

After sporting her natural strawberry red hue for a while, Wood switched things up for summer with a bright blonde shade. Then she dyed her ends an ebony color for a dramatic reverse ombré effect (a hair look we thought was left in the ’90s, until now.) The two-toned style is stark contrast to the more glam, retro waves she wore to the Oscars this year.

But don’t get too attached to her dip-dyed ends. They’re probably temporary. Wood debuted the look during a benefit for the Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Center Saturday hosted by Linda Perry, where she performed hits from Garbage and Radiohead. And her new grunge-inspired do was the perfect match for her leather J Brand pants and The Kooples animal print blazer.

Also debuting a colorful new do at the LAGLC event, Rumer Willis showed off her Kool-Aid-hued locks this weekend — warming up her orange tresses with pink highlights throughout. Demi Moore‘s eldest daughter shared the below snap on Instagram in honor of Mother’s Day, wearing her hair straight. She also sported a more formal wavy look this weekend on the red carpet, teaming her new colorful do with a fringe Lorena Sarbu dress. (Note: We also have a feeling Willis’s look is a semi-permanent, wash out situation.)

What do you think of Wood’s new look? Should she keep it or are dip-dyed ends never okay? How about the colorful pink hair trend? Share your thoughts below!
