Taylor Swift Is Never Giving Up Her 'High-Waisted Stuff,' You Haters (Plus 72 More Things to Know)

Updated

Taylor Swift just landed her third Vogue cover, and you know what that means: House tour in the guise of the mag’s popular video series, 73 Questions. But finally the time has come to explore her L.A. bungalow and get the answers to all those intimate questions you have: What does she keep in her purse? What does she tell her squad? What will she wear to the Met Gala?

Taylor Swift Answers Vogue's 73 Questions

First, let’s cover the fashion bits. She revealed that if she could raid anyone’s closet it would be Blake Lively’s (although, this was filmed before her current slouchy, super-casual phase) and that her favorite fashion trend of all time is “high-waisted stuff.” (We already knew that.)

She also shared some tidbits about what she always carries in those top-handle ladylike bags she loves so much: lavender anti-bacterial hand spray. She says it comes in handy for her girlfriends when they’re out and waiting in line for the bathroom sink.

We predicted some gowns for her Met Gala co-chair duties for the upcoming Manus x Machina-themed bash, but according to the video, she’ll be dressed as a sword-carrying robot. (We just hope Anna Wintour approved that!)

In addition to style secrets, she talks about her squad, saying she can tell them absolutely anything and the news never gets out. So it’s unsurprising that her spirit animal is a dolphin because “they’re very social and they travel in groups.”

She also explained that if she could go back in time, she’d tell her 19-year-old self: ‘Hey, you’re going to date just like a normal 20-something should be allowed to, but you’re going to be a national lightening rod for slut-shaming.” But the bravest thing she’s does thus far: write the Apple Music letter.
