Looks like there’s a turf war brewing over Kylie Jenner.
The 18-year-old star will be fronting Puma’s spring/summer 2016 campaign, after her brother-in-law Kanye West declared on Twitter that there would “never be a Kylie Puma anything,” because she’s completely dedicated to his Adidas x Yeezy collection.
But Puma confirmed Wednesday that a Kylie Kollaboration is 100% happening.
“I am pleased and excited to be able to confirm that PUMA is indeed working with Kylie Jenner,” Adam Petrick, Global Director of Brand and Marketing for Puma, said in a statement. “Kylie will be featured in the brand’s Spring/Summer women’s training campaign launching in April 2016. Kylie represents a fresh and exciting new era for fashion and we couldn’t think of a more fitting and influential female to headline this campaign for Puma.”
This is definitely news to Kanye, who was adamant that the Kardashian-Jenner’s are a Yeezy family. And he made sure to shared his message with Puma.
“1000% there will never be a Kylie Puma anything. That’s on my family! 1000% Kylie is on Yeezy team!!!,” he tweeted last week, adding, “Puma we gone give you your measly million dollars back!!! Never try to divide the family!!!”
It appears that Kylie accepted that “measly million” after all.

Kylie did not walk in the Yeezy Season 3 show this year, but she did sit in the stands of Madison Square Garden with the rest of her family. She was also noticeably absent from Rihanna’s Fenty x Puma show, but she could very well be hosting her own fashion show in the near future.
The noted athleisure enthusiast definitely has a lot of Puma hanging in her closet, and isn’t shy about wearing a sports bra and spandex in public or for an Instagram snap.
