Sarah Hyland Gets a Sweet New Job as Creative Director for Candie's

Updated

Candie’s Girls have had to be women of many talents in the past. They sing, they dance, they act, they pose precariously in high-heeled shoes. But until now, they’ve only been in front of the camera for the brand. Sarah Hyland is changing that.

The Modern Family actress has been tapped to be the brand’s first ever Creative Director, signing on to not only star in its ad campaigns (which will first come out in late summer) but to style them as well. And kicking off in Spring 2017, she’ll also lend her design sensibility to the brand, helping add her own personal style to the collection.

Hyland follows in the footsteps of recent Candie’s Girls including Vanessa Hudgens and Carly Rae Jepsen, and the girls who walked ahead of her were a big factor in taking her new gig. “I grew up looking at Candie’s ads and hearing my friends’ experiences as Candie’s girls, but the added influence of being named the first Creative Director is really exciting for me,” she said in a statement. “I love fashion, it’s a part of who I am.”
