Becky may have both good hair and good taste.
Just one day after inciting the Bey-Hive’s rage for appearing to tease her involvement in Beyoncé and Jay Z‘s alleged marital strife, Rita Ora stepped out wearing an ensemble lifted directly from the pop diva’s “Formation” music video.
Walking around West Hollywood with friends on Monday, Ora donned the same printed $1,890 Gucci silk skirt and matching $1,390 blouse that Beyoncé wears while straddling a police car in the popular video.
Ora even accessorized the look with the same same Jennifer Fisher “R” pendant necklace which stirred up the story in the first place.
In Beyoncé’s Lemonade, themes of infidelity are obvious, with the singer specifically calling out “Becky with the good hair” as one of the “side pieces” she disdains.
Fans first attacked designer Rachel Roy (and, accidentally but angrily, celebrity chef Rachael Ray) after her since-deleted Instagram post appeared to make a pointed reference to the singer’s lyric. Ire shifted, however, once Ora’s snap of herself in a Tezenis lemon bra surfaced.
Ora’s aforementioned “R” necklace appears backward in the picture due to the flipped nature of selfies, which makes it look like a “J.” And the star frequently wears the pictured combination of her initial necklace and the Jacquie Aiche diamond bra, which might indicate slightly less premeditation than the Bey-Hive gives her credit for. (But then again, that lemon bra. And that outfit.)
Beyoncé’s Changing Looks
Interestingly enough, Ora filed a lawsuit against Jay Z’s label Roc Nation last December, claiming her “relationship with Roc Nation is irrevocably damaged” due to the label’s lack of support in her music career, as stated in the complaint.
Who looks better in the Gucci outfit: Beyoncé or Rita? Tell us in the comments.
