Rihanna Sends Jennifer 'The Baddest' Lopez a Pair of Her New Manolo Blahnik Boots

Updated

It’s hard to deny Rihanna is one of the coolest women of all time. Maybe it’s her laissez-faire, DGAF attitude combined with her superstar status, her constantly evolving musical sound or the fact that her only regret in life is not finding a bedazzled thong to wear under her completely sheer dress. But though she has attained the height of fame and fabulosity, there’s still one diva out there she’ll always bow down to: Jennifer Lopez.

And while you might think that there’s no badder babe in town than Rih — and no one better equipped to wear her line of denim-centric shoes in collaboration with Manolo Blahnik (which includes a very Rihanna, very difficult to wear IRL, pair of thigh-high boots that belt around the waist to create a chaps-like effect) — the superstar begs to differ.

In fact, she had one idol in mind who could rock them to perfection. So the “Needed Me” star went ahead and sent a pair over to the American Idol judge, along with a handwritten note that reads, “To The Baddest, Because I know you’re gonna wear them better than me!!! From: badgalriri”

In other words, Rihanna just bestowed Lopez with the highest form of praise known to man, as well as officially dubbing her with the title of The Baddest.

And Rihanna’s not the only chill celeb paying homage to the legacy of Jenny From the Block. Posting a makeup-free selfie to her Instagram on Wednesday night, Nicole Richie captioned the candid shot, “Brushed my teeth, washed my face, & brushed down my JLOs. Night night bbs. 😘” Which, honestly, why have we not all been referring to our baby hairs as JLOs since the singer first asked us the tough questions in 1999 about what we would do “If You Had My Love.”

Now cross your fingers these three newly-minted, laidback besties decide to grab brunch in their matching denim chap heels.

Who is your favorite pop diva, Rihanna or J.Lo? Who do you think will wear the Manolo Blahnik denim chap boots better?
