Its latest designer collection has yet to hit stores, but Macy’s is already looking toward spring with its first haute collaboration of 2012: a line by Doo-Ri Chung.

Hitting 225 Macy’s stores and macys.com on Feb. 15, the Impulse collection will include art-inspired prints, jersey and leather pieces, knitwear and more — all from just $39 to $159. Expect to see blues, grays, reds and black in items like trench coats, maxi dresses, sweaters, cardigans, skirts and blouses.

“My clothes have always been about making women feel elegant and modern, which is why I am so excited about this capsule collection,” Chung said in a release. “It truly embodies the confidence and creativity of the modern woman.”

Chung, the first female designer tapped for Macy’s capsule collection program, launched her Doo.Ri line in 2003. The Korean-American attended Parsons The New School of Design, and spent five years working with Geoffrey Beene before finding success on her own. She follows in the footsteps of Macy’s 2011 collaborators, Kinder Aggugini, Matthew Williamson, Karl Lagerfeld and Giambattista Valli.
