L’Wren Scott’s body was laid to rest in L.A. Tuesday, but many are working to ensure her legacy lives on. The Art of Elysium, a charity dedicated to bringing art to children in hospitals, has just dedicated the L’Wren Scott Amber Award to her memory.

Art of Elysium brings art of every kind — music, visual art, theater and fashion — into hospitals for children to enjoy and participate in. The L’Wren Scott Amber Award is named for both the designer and one of the Art of Elysium’s most long-term patients, Amber, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor at age 8, and who loves the fashion workshops in the Elysium Collection series. The award will endow “emerging fashion designers” with “the ability to donate their time and talents to hospitalized children and the opportunity to create a small line of clothing that will benefit Elysium Collections,” the charity says in a statement.

Scott’s family requests that donations be made to Art of Elysium in lieu of flowers.
