Hollywood is definitely ready for fall. Everyone’s bringing out their Burberry ponchos and are reaching into their closets for another unique outwear trend: the long, oversize vest. Curious? Thinking you should invest in one? These are all questions we’ve been asking ourselves as well. Here are three different looks to consider before making the investment.

Kicking things off, Kate Hudson stepped on in a gray wool sleeveless blazer and matching flare trousers (both Atea Oceanie) for a fun twist on the menswear trend. The whole look felt effortless, but we’re not sure how easy it is to pull off.
During London Fashion Week, Olivia Palermo continued her continental style parade, wearing a similar all-gray look to Hudson’s, but with a few more pieces. The rundown? Tibi pleated culottes (because, what else?), a Nom De Mode fringe-trim vest layered over a Chinti and Parker sweater, all topped off with a Capwell + Co necklace. The fashionista proved once again she’s better at layering than anyone else in the biz.
Lastly, Shay Mitchell topped a little white dress with a black tailored double-breasted vest, which is a fun way to make your summery attire feel a little more autumnal.
