Need a little fashion inspiration in your life? Look no further than the November issue of
O, The Oprah Magazine
, which not only showcases six fall trends, but shows them on six inspiring women.

“The theme of our issue is really about finding your true calling, and really discovering who you’re meant to be as a woman,” O creative director Adam Glassman tells PEOPLE. “I wanted to showcase six very accomplished women who have found their passion. And their wardrobing and their clothing is very reflective of who they are and what they do.”

Intertwined in the story are those six fall trends: the dressed up T-shirt, the graphic dress, the red jeans, the trench coat, the plaid shirt and lace (“it’s not just your grandmother’s lace,” Glassman jokes).

Singer Kelly Rowland models the red jeans — and she loved them so much, she took them home with her after the shoot! “She has a great sense of style,” Glassman says. “She knows her body, she knows what works for her lifestyle. She needs things that are very comfortable and not too fussy.”

Actress Melissa George, on the other hand, works a graphic dress — and reveals a well-kept secret. “Besides being a terrific actress, she has this line called Hemming My Way,” Glassman explains. It’s a snap system that you can use on jeans and other pants to instantly cuff them to your desired length — perfect for making heel-length slacks flat-ready. “I was so impressed,” Glassman shares.

To see how the O team styled its other models — and to meet those inspiring ladies themselves — pick up the November issue of
