Ireland Baldwin’s modeling career has been accumulating speed, and she’s just put her foot on the gas, landing her first solo campaign as the face of a fashion brand. The 18-year-old posed for Rampage in a series of fall ads inspired by her mom Kim Basinger’s iconic movie 9 1/2 Weeks — but the footsteps in which she was most excited to follow were those of former Rampage spokeswomen.
“I still can’t believe that I was chosen to be the new face of Rampage,” Baldwin (whose dad is actor Alec Baldwin) said in a statement. “Following in the footsteps of women like Petra [Nemcova], Bar [Refaeli] and Gisele [Bündchen], those are some huge heels to fill and it’s an honor.”
The exclusive behind-the-scenes photo above shows the star getting comfortable on some classic modern furniture and proves she’s a natural for Rampage’s aesthetic, a sentiment echoed by chief marketing officer Dari Marder, who said Baldwin’s “natural beauty and sex appeal are the perfect fit” for the brand.
Baldwin has had fun experimenting with different looks over the last year, but she tells PEOPLE her bicoastal lifestyle (thanks to having a mom on one coast and a dad on the other) influences her style more than anything. “I would describe my fashion style as definitely comfortable, just kind of based on my lifestyle,” she says. “I live on a beach, pretty much, being in California — you’re coming and going from the beach all day. And when I’m here in New York it’s more street style, a little bit cleaner, less beach bummy.”
And Baldwin, who is dating rapper Angel Haze, has strong opinions on what makes the perfect night out, regardless of the coat. “An ideal date night for me would be a concert, definitely,” she tells PEOPLE. “I think music brings people together. If you have a band in common or something, I think that’s the sweetest thing you could do is surprise someone with tickets”
What do you think of the shots? Is she a good fit for Rampage?
