Perhaps other athletes are getting tired of the glamorous figure skaters hogging the style spotlight at the Winter Olympics. Between the wacky pants, the multiple wardrobe malfuctions and whatever Johnny Weir is doing rinkside, we’ve seen plenty of things to get psyched about at Sochi (even if it’s not Team USA’s medal count). Maybe our favorite Olympics style moment so far: the fabulous hair on the female snowboarders.

One of our editors (not naming names but her Twitter handle is @andilavs) has a major hair crush on silver medalist, Australian Torah Bright, who said her competitors were all friends and “shredding babes.” Clockwise from Bright, France’s Sophie Rodriguez’s braid got some major air time; Team USA underdog and eventual champ Kaitlyn Farrington rocked a side braid that would make Blake Lively jealous; Australian boarder Stephanie Magiros added neon feather extensions; and Hannah Teter went for pretty pigtail braids under her helmet.

The hair excitement hasn’t stopped on the slopes, either — USA’s Jamie Anderson opted for an got an ornate braid after her gold medal Slopestyle run. So apparently the key to enviable hair is to become an Olympic-level athlete? We better start training.

Have you been loving watching the snowboarders? How gorgeous are they? Tell us thoughts in the comments.
