Get excited: We have our first Fashion Faceoff of the Royal Tour. The white Zimmermann dress Duchess Catherine wore for a busy day of events Friday — including a stop at the Royal Easter Show and a trip to Sydney, Australia’s famed Manly Beach — has also been spotted on a big time Hollywood A-lister.
The eyelet “Roamer Day” frock is from the Australian label’s Summer 2014 collection, and Aussie actress Naomi Watts wore the exact same design in a recent ad campaign for Jacobs Creek Wine. See the shot below.

This also marks the first time Kate has worn a design from an Australian label during her visit Down Under. For all you copy-Kates taking notes: Mark your calendar and have your credit card at the ready if you want to buy the Duchess’s (and Watts’s!) lovely look. It hits stores in June, and is bound to sell out faster than you can say “Aussie Aussie Aussie, oi oi oi!” Kate accessorized the summer-friendly dress with an LK Bennett box clutch and a pair of cork wedge heels from Stuart Weitzman.
Launched in 1991 by sisters Nicky and Simone Zimmermann, the brand is known for its luxury swim and resort wear. The company has brick and mortar stores across Australia as well as outposts in New York City and Los Angeles, and has been worn by stars including Jessica Alba, Lea Michele and fellow Aussie Rose Byrne.
We have to ask: Who do you think wore the dress better? Are you loving Kate’s latest look? Share your thoughts below!
