Every Sexy Outfit from the First Night of Beyoncé's Formation Tour

Updated

Because
Lemonade
-mania and the speculation surrounding who is or is not Becky hasn’t already hit enough of a cultural fever pitch since Beyoncé dropped the album on Saturday, the singer kicked of her Formation tour in Miami Wednesday night giving us a whole new set of looks, lyrics, and shout-outs to ruminate over for months to come — all of which just goes to prove the best revenge is your paper.

Beyoncé debuted five all new bodysuit outfits on the first stop of her tour, including the one above which featured mutton chop sleeves which have been a constant styling motif throughout this album. The pop star featured a very similar look in the “Daddy Lessons” portion of her HBO special. She also brought back her backup dancer’s Gucci looks from the Formation music video, but this time in white and red to match her ensemble.

Queen Bey also broke out the latex gear for a portion of her performance, donning this red skintight bodysuit which featured an almost Victorian pouf sleeve with a scoop neck ruffled collar and matching thigh-high boots.

But the “Sorry” singer kicked off the night in custom all black Dsquared2, breaking out her super wide-brimmed hat from the Formation music video once again, which she first teased in a behind-the-scenes video on her Instagram account that only shows her in silhouette. The full look featured an elaborately beaded and ruffled jacket that at a certain point she discarded to reveal an equally ornate scoop neck black bodysuit with faux-corset detailing underneath.

Of course, every look was custom-made for the singer and her backup dancers, including these all white lace and silk looks from French couture house (and Kardashian mainstay) Balmain. Beyoncé and her dancers once again referenced turn of the century Western trends with these high-collared, ruffled bodysuits, which her girls paired with face jewelry, reminiscent of pieces from the Dion Lee Spring/Summer 2016 show, that bisect the face creating an almost cage-like effect.

And of course, it wouldn’t truly be the Formation tour if Beyoncé didn’t reference her now iconic military-inspired bodysuit from the Super Bowl. This look, however, was fully covered in crystals and had more of a Sgt. Pepper vibe than her leather costume with the bandoliers from the half-time show. She paired the bodysuit with yet another pair of thigh-high boots, this time in velvet tiger-print.

And for those still stressing over the current state of music’s biggest power couple, fear not, because for the finale Beyoncé launching into “Halo” by saying to the crowd,”I want to dedicate this to my beautiful husband. I love you so much.” We guess that means bye bye Becky with the good hair.
