For a plus-size girl, accessorizing can be just as tricky as choosing the right clothes. “Everyone can wear jewelry regardless of size,” people tell me, but there’s actually a lot more to it than that. Luckily, there are a whole lot of amazing tricks and resources you can use to help!

For example: The sparkly necklace I wore with this outfit is from Shop Dama. I picked it up from a pop up shop but you can also order off of their Instagram. Whenever I see a great necklace, the first thing I do is make sure it comes in the right length. Anything 16-in. or under tends to strangle me, so I opt for 18-in. and up. Bracelets and rings are often harder for me to find because anything labeled “One Size” usually doesn’t fit! I like to buy my bracelets at Forever 21 (size large) or from plus-size fashion site Evans USA and my rings from Etsy (most vendors will customize ring size). Did I mention that ASOS now carries plus-size jewelry? Longer necklaces, bigger bracelets and larger-sized rings in of-the-moment styles!

I’m a big fan of crossbody bags — this one by Rovimoss is a new favorite! For plus girls, finding crossbodies that are long enough can be tricky. I’ve found that styles without adjustable straps are too short for me and typically end up resting at my waist. Instead, look for options that hit at your hip. My Calvin Klein shoes were an eBay score. You can pretty much find anything on eBay! They add balance and architectural interest to my outfit. Bonus: They make my legs look way long!

I paired all of this with an Old Navy graphic tee, a hot pink Gap moto jacket (moto jackets are an obsession of mine—they’re just so cool!) and a high-waisted skirt from Eloquii, which has re-launched and is definitely worth checking out. The final look is playful with a pop of attitude, from the clothes down to every last accessory.
