We kind of feel like we mentally willed Jordan Peele and Chelsea Peretti to fall in love; they are two of our favorite comedians from two of our favorite TV shows (that would be Key & Peele and Brooklyn 99, respectively), after all. So we can’t help but feel a little verklempt at the sight of Peretti’s beautiful engagement ring, which Peele gave to her in November, but which didn’t make its official red carpet debut Tuesday night.
Peretti attended the Vanity Fair Young Hollywood Party in L.A. wearing a Tadashi Shoji slip dress, blue eyeshadow and a couple rings — including her new sparkler, which appeared to be a princess-cut solitaire on a slim band. She had low-key flashed it on her Insta a few weeks ago in a sweet pic with Peele, then teased us all with a terrible blurry shot at a podium, but this was our first official shot of it, and it was worth the wait.
The duo announced their engagement on Twitter around Thanksgiving, with Peretti claiming Peele proposed to her “at the family talent show” and her new fiancé responding with a ring emoji. (It was fitting, considering the two “met” over Twitter in the first place — “He was very complimentary of a web series I once did,” she told Entertainment Weekly.)

But even before their big Twitter announcement, Peretti and Peele were giving us what the kids call “relationship goals.” At the Creative Arts Emmys in September, Peele gave Vulture a glimpse into his life at home with Peretti. ““We stay at home, cook, do the dishes, and improvise musicals. One of our best ones was Monica Lewinsky: The Musical. It was for older Midwestern people traveling to New York to see something,” he joked. (Can we second this Tweet from Jason Mitchell?)
Do you love the ring?!
