Charlize Theron Goes for the Gold, Wins This Week's Best Dressed

Updated

“And the Oscar for Longest Legs on a Leading Lady goes to…” That is the exact phrase that went through our heads when we saw Charlize Theron arrive in her gold metallic mini at the Dior Fall 2014 Haute Couture fashion show. And with more than 15,000 votes from our readers on our Most Loved Looks page, the actress swept the competition and won the Academy Award (oops, we mean PEOPLE’s best dressed — it’s roughly as prestigious).

Typically, we associate high-shine metallic minis with New Year’s Eve, but after checking out Theron in her Dior short-sleeved dress (with a pair of legs that go on into 2015), we’re seeing the summery appeal.

The actress complemented her gold statement-making frock with a pair of nude sandals and an Anita Ko ear jacket — which you can get here if you don’t mind dropping a couple thou. Her makeup and hair were flawless (naturally) with a simple nude lip, smokey eye and wavy pompadour-esque updo.

Theron wasn’t the only Dior ambassador at the show that stole a top spot on our Most Loved Looks page. Marion Cotillard came in second place, donning an architectural top and coordinating asymmetrical bottom with a sleek updo. Jennifer Lawrence was also in attendance and took our number five seat in a printed silk top and high-waisted skirt combo that showed off some major assets from the side.

Though she’s not a face of Dior, that did not stop our favorite street-style star, Olivia Palermo, from showing some love to the brand — and getting some major likes from readers. She showed up to the event wearing a green printed blouse, black mini skirt and leather vest with a chic orangey-red lip to complete her look.

Do you think Charlize earned the top spot in her metallic mini? Should one of the other Dior ambassadors have taken the win? Who else has been sporting a look you loved this week? Let us know!
