Candace Cameron Bure and her Full House co-stars taught us many life lessons throughout the years: A clean home is a happy home, sharing a room with your sister isn’t always so bad and a group hug can solve anything. Fast forward to 2016, and the actress is still sharing life lessons. Cameron Bure is teaming up with Unilever to share the importance of recycling your empty bathroom containers.
“I’ve always recycled at home,” the Fuller House actress and co-host of The View tells PeopleStyle about the #RethinkRecycle campaign. “Paper, cardboard, and when I get boxes and stuff — but that’s kind of the extent of it. So I was really surprised to learn only 14 percent of Americans recycled their bathroom products, and I wasn’t one of them either. I just never even thought about recycling my lotion, my shampoo, conditioner, and make-up containers.”
And in a household with two teenage boys and a 17-year-old beauty-obsessed daughter (she’s a YouTube vlogger!), there are a lot of products — and tips — to go around.
“I work with makeup artists every day so I get so many tips from them, but I get just as many from Natasha [her daughter] because she’s always doing what’s new, what’s young, what’s fresh,” Bure shares, adding that her eyebrow products are the first products of hers that her daughter steals. “I love learning from her because she’s 17 and will always look at me and be like, ‘Mom you’ve got to do this,’ so I love that I have my little girl watching over me.”
The actress, who just turned 40, shares that while she’s embracing her age, she relies on wearing sunscreen every day, drinking tons of water, and always washing her face at night to keep herself looking youthful. But the biggest beauty secret that she’s learned over the years came to her during a young age — while on the set of Full House.
“It was a line from Aunt Becky when she was teaching DJ how to put mascara on — maybe she was going to junior high or something — she said, ‘less is more,’ and that holds true for sure,’ she shares.

So who else from her Full House family does she share makeup tips with? Her on-screen (and off-screen) BFF, of course. Bure shares that she does Andrea Barber’s (Kimmy Gibbler!) makeup from time to time — and they even share clothes.
“Andrea is not into beauty at all and comes in her Lulu Lemon running gear everyday and no makeup,” Bure says. “I’ve done Andrea’s makeup before because if there’s no makeup artist I’m like, ‘Girlfriend, come here, can I fix a few things?’ She’s like, ‘Yes, I have no idea what I’m doing!’ I give her clothes all the time too — I come in with bags of clothes, because were about the same size. So it’s really great and she loves it, I wish I could share more with Jodie [Sweetin] cause she’s got great style too.”
But the most beauty-obsessed of the crew isn’t Bure. It’s Uncle Jesse’s off-screen alter-ego. “It Might be John Stamos,” she says, laughing. “He’s so handsome and he’s just such a good person.”
Don’t worry, Uncle Jesse, we won’t touch the hair.
