Because It's Friday, Let's Look at Gorgeous Photos of Cindy Crawford, Penélope Cruz and More Style Icons

Updated

Sometimes it’s nice to take a break from wacky celebrity outfits and unusual hair decisions and just look at some beautiful ladies looking outrageously lovely in equally beautiful clothes. Now is one of those times. Harper’s Bazaar featured 19 iconic women (supermodels, actresses and Lady Gaga) in a stunning editorial styled by Carine Roitfeld and shot by Sebastian Faena — and to drive the “icon” point home, the feature will appear in all 30 international editions of the magazine. Let’s take a look, shall we?

Roitfeld tapped a number of the ’90s “supers” for her spread, including Linda Evangelista, Stephanie Seymour and Claudia Schiffer — and of course, no supermodel reunion would be complete without Cindy Crawford, who looks ready to get right back on the catwalk in a Tom Ford coat, skirt and boots. Pénelope Cruz may not be a model by profession (though she’s dabbled a bit) but she is every bit as luminous in front of the camera as her iconic counterparts, wearing one of this fall’s most popular Dior dresses over a netted Leg Avenue bodysuit.

And a dose of ’80s mega-glamour is injected into the editorial via Brooke Shields and Iman, who both prove why they’re the best in the biz in their dramatic shots — Shields wearing a Lanvin coat and La Perla fishnets, while Iman makes the most of her wind machine in a beautiful watercolor Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci dress.
