Twilight star Ashley Greene is gracing the cover of Women’s Health‘s November issue, and is sharing all the details on living (and maintaining) a healthy lifestyle, even in the face of her guilty pleasure foods.
Greene, who stars in Zach Braff’s Wish I Was Here, opens up about staying motivated to work out (which clearly pays off — see: the strappy blue mini-dress on the mag’s cover). “Music is a really powerful medium. If you listen to your favorite songs, it pumps you up and gets you in that mindset,” Greene shares. (Her fave tunes include Queen Bey, Macklemore and even Eminem.)
And when she’s not working out, Greene maintains a relatively clean diet but still sneaks in her favorite foods when she can. “Part of the benefit of being active is that I kind of can eat whatever I want from time to time,” she says. “Before photo shoots, I have to cut back on the sodium.”
One of Greene’s favorite snacks isn’t the typical sweet treat we all tend to crave. In fact, it’s something that falls on the opposite end of the flavor spectrum. “I’m not really a sweets person, but I love pickles. They’re always sitting in my fridge. I was talking to my friend, I was like, ‘I don’t have a problem with anything else, but I really just want to eat one of those pickles and I can’t do it,” she says. But she does admit she’ll tap into her sweeter side every now and then. “Pinkberry has this new peach flavor. I’m pretty sure I ate the whole tub of it.”
