Start ‘em young! Will has always been comfortable around horses and ponies, thanks in part to his time spent at Highgrove, the royal family’s country house. His grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, was often on hand to help guide the way.

For his 14th birthday, the prince received a black Labrador retriever named Widgeon from his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales. The dog reportedly died in 2010, but produced at least eight offspring in its lifetime.
