For Simon Cowell, it’s the more, the furrier!
The 53-year-old introduced two new puppies he recently adopted Thursday over Twitter, asking fans, “Any suggestions for names?”
Cowell, who is expecting his first child with girlfriend Lauren Silverman, has spoken out in the past about the importance of adopting a dog rather than buying it from a pet shop. Last month, he sent out a message that he was looking to expand his family.
“I am going to get two dogs when I get back [to L.A.],” he Tweeted on Sept. 3. “Probably cairn terriers. If any rescue shelters have some who need a home let me know.”
A longtime supporter of animal charities, the X Factor judge reportedly helped set up a dog sanctuary on Barbados and donated $30,000 to Exorcist star Linda Blair’s California animal shelter.
He also revealed in a recent interview that he intends to leave his $300 million fortune to charity.
“I’m going to leave my money to somebody,” he told Esquire magazine. “A charity – probably kids and dogs. I don’t believe in passing on from one generation to another.”
