A Utah dog has learned a new trick: shoplifting. Surveillance cameras caught the husky-like dog casually walking into Smith’s Food and Drug in Murray, Utah, and walking out with a 9-in. rawhide bone in his mouth.
Store Manager Roger Adamson told the local TV station KSL that he confronted the culprit with the $3.19 bone in his mouth, but the dog escaped – using the automatic doors.
“It was a nice dog. It wasn’t aggressive or threatening at all. It had a plan,” says Adamson, who told the Deseret News he wouldn’t punish the dog even if he could. “We’d probably give him a medal for the good time he gave us.”
