Home. Some pets never have one to call their own. We’d like to help change that by introducing you to extraordinary adoptable pets every week. Today, we’d like you to meet John, a lovable pit bull who’s best described as a “mush ball.”
When it comes to being pet, John won’t take no for an answer. The 7-year-old dog, who is completely deaf (likely since birth), “will put his beautiful, strong snout under your hand and nestle into your arm,” reads a Facebook photo album created by the New York City-based rescue the Bully Project, which pulled him from a city shelter. “His soft blue eyes will close halfway with sheer delight at being loved, and he will give a long contented sigh, as he slips into a deep sleep with his head on your lap.”
John is very treat-motivated, which means training him will be a breeze – not that you’ll have much training to do. He’s house trained and very quiet, but needs a little help mastering leash manners since he has a tendency to pull when he gets excited. Can you blame the curious canine for wanting to explore?
This pup wants nothing more than an owner who will cuddle with him and take him for long walks outdoors. If you think he’s the companion for you, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to request an adoption application.
